DINING ROOM, Scarsdale, NY: This dining room design was inspired by the homeowner’s love of nature -I call it “Modern Meadow”
We incorporated their existing wood hutch that reminded me of a beautiful tree trunk and their existing linen dining chairs. The space was dark so I lightened the walls and infused color through an abstract floral textile in the drapery, modern art and a stunning blue chandelier detailed with blue Mother of Pearl beads, the soft shape of which is repeated in the drapery pattern & art. The custom area wool rug was kept in natural light hues to continue to balance the darker hutch, table & floors.
